Introducing Weekly Targets
We want to help you be more active. Weekly targets give you a chance to plan ahead and think about how active you are going to be next week. People are more likely to do something if it is planned. Your target is the number of days that you intend to do some activity or sport. If you post an activity on miMove it will count towards meeting your target. PE lessons do not count as these are compulsory.
For example, if I am planning on doing an after school gymnastics club on Tuesday and swimming with my friends on Friday, I might set my target as 2.
Please note, duration (length of time) is not relevant for your target. We think that being active on a regular basis is the most important thing and we encourage you to do what you can manage.
You get 10 points for setting a target and 30 points if you meet OR exceed it.
Completing your target week after week allows you to build up a streak.

Why set a weekly target
It is a great way to challenge yourself while gaining extra points and build streaks.
How to set a weekly target?
You can set a weekly target through your game menu. Simply select the Set Target button and you will be taken to your Target Dashboard. Click add a new target and then select the number of days you want to be active. To meet your target you have to be active on different days. You have 1 week to complete your target. You do not need to set your target every week but there is the opportunity to gain 10 extra points per week if you do.
Rules for Targets:
PE lessons do not count towards meeting the target.
A target charts your consistency, and not your level of daily activity. So the rule is simply - if you are active on 1 day, even for 15 minutes, then that will count as an active day. If you are active 3 times on the same day, that will not count as reaching your weekly target, as the activity does not happen on a unique day. However, you will gain activity points for every activity posted.
